Top Texas Prospects ShowIn this episode, Marc and Matt welcome Head Coach Claude Mathis of DeSoto High school and his son Champ Mathis to the show. Coach Mathis explains his coaching journey from the High School ranks, to his time spent at SMU and now back at DeSoto HS. Coach Mathis gives us insight on his experience coaching his son Champ and how it has strengthened their relationship as father and son. Coach Mathis goes into detail on the history of great players that played at Marshall High and his coaching experience in East Texas. Champ Mathis talks about his time playing for his dad, as well as how it benefits him on and off the field. Champ gives Matt and Marc his assessment of how his recruiting experience has gone while searching for a college that fits him best. Champ also talks about how important his academics are and Coach Mathis gives his take on how he stresses the importance of academics to his players. Champ Mathis had a great senior year at Marshall High and helped the football team reach the 3rd round of the playoffs. Here are his stats:

On national signing day 2019, Jadan signed with Missouri State. He begins talking about his playing days at The Colony. Jadan also talks about his experience after a big win during his senior year, where Missouri State called him while on the bus with his team after the game. Jadan goes into detail about how Missouri State plans to involve him in their offense as a running back.
