Week eight of the 2021 Texas High School Football season is rolling in hard. Matt and Marc breakdown a few matchups, beginning with the Grand Prairie Gophers and their exciting 4-0 district record. The Gophers are coming off a big win against Arlington Lamar. Senior Savion Red is having an MVP type season. Drew Damper and Boogie Wilson have also been key contributors. The Grand Prairie offensive line has also been leading the way for the Gophers in 2021.
Matt and Marc talk about playoff seeding as well as how many teams get will get in per district.
Marc talks about the Guyer vs Allen matchup from last week. The Allen Eagles came out on top to give the Wildcats their first loss of the season.
Marc spotlights Donovan Shannon, RB from Rock Hill in the class of 2022. Shannon is having a great season. He had over 200 yards rushing last week in a win over Frisco Memorial.
Matt and Marc weigh-in on Nolan Catholic High School and the controversy surrounding the Vikings having to forfeit three games after using ineligible players.
