Welcome to This Week in Victoria! Each week, Brother Gary Moses and Chris Doelle sit down and go over all the happenings in the Crossroads.

This Week in Victoria, hosted by Chris Doelle and Brother Gary Moses, discussed many events happening in Victoria, Texas. Here's a breakdown of the events by day:

Thursday

  • Postponed East and West Boys and Girls basketball games were moved to Thursday night. One game will be at East High School and the other at West High School.
  • A ribbon cutting will take place at Stretch Mobility at 503 John Stockbauer at 4:30 PM.
  • The Children's Discovery Museum will have activities for kids from 10:30 AM to 4 PM, with smaller ones in the morning and bigger ones in the afternoon.
  • Academy of Lifelong Learning Spring 2025 open house will be held at the Victoria College Emerging Technology Center from 1:30 PM to 4 PM.
  • The Old Victoria Bourbon Society is having a mixer from 6 to 9 PM.
  • Teen Tech will be at the Victoria Public Library from 5 to 6 PM.
  • The Prince of Library book sale will be happening.

Friday

  • The Children's Discovery Museum will have activities for kids from 10:30 AM to 4 PM.
  • Friends of the Library book sale at the public library.
  • Fun Friday: Teapot Beats will be held from 10 to 11 AM.

  • Victoria North Side Rotary Club will host their Vegas night at the Club West Center from 6 to 11 PM. The event will include games, a raffle, door prizes, and a barbecue meal.
  • A birthday celebration for Connie, Gary Prukop's wife, will take place.
  • Shim Mix will perform at Jay Wells Farms from 7 to 10 PM.
  • The Victoria Farmers Market will be open from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Public Health Center.
  • The Prince of Library book sale will be happening.

Sunday

  • A pork steak fundraiser for the Holy Family Casey Council charities will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Plates will be to-go only and will be available from 8:30 AM until sold out.

Monday

  • The True Crime Book Club will meet at the library from 6 to 7 PM.
  • The Young Adult Book Club will meet at the Box Coffee Bar from 6 to 7 PM.
  • The East Football Banquet will take place at the East High School cafeteria. Socials start at 6:30 PM with the banquet beginning at 7 PM.

Tuesday

  • Coffee with the Cops will be at the Vitality Court from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
  • A partnership meeting, which was postponed due to the cold, will be held at 7:30 AM.

Wednesday

  • Hamburger night will be at the VFW from 5 to 8 PM.

Other Notable Mentions

  • Brace for Impact Parent Expo put on by Stephanie Nalls from Futures Academy, will be on March 1st at the UHV North building from 9 to 1. Chris Doelle plans to interview Stephanie Nalls about the expo for   next week's show.
  • The Victoria Chamber banquet will be next Thursday with John Clegg as the guest speaker.
  • The hosts mentioned some schedule changes this week due to the weather. HealthPlex will open at 12 PM tomorrow and 10 AM on Tuesday.

Every Saturday and Wednesday:  Victoria Farmers Market from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Patty Johnson Public Health Center.
