Welcome to This Week in Victoria! Each week, Brother Gary Moses and Chris Doelle sit down and go over all the happenings in the Crossroads.

Here's a breakdown by day:

Thursday:

  • A meet and greet with healthcare folks at Joe's Pizza and Pasta.
  • The VIT Early Childhood Extravaganza at the Children's Discovery Museum from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
  • Brother Gary Moses mentioned he would also be attending people's birthdays and get-togethers.
  • Spring break for Victoria schools starts tomorrow at noon.

Friday (National Children's Craft Day):

  • Victoria Public Library Fun Friday is making Rainbow crackers at 10:00 AM.
  • The Children's Discovery Museum will have St. Patrick's Rainbow creation at 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
  • Victoria Public Library jams with Chelsea Markham at 7:00 PM.
  • The Victoria Fine Arts Department has a new exhibit by Elias Lighten that is still in action for the rest of the semester at the University of Houston-Victoria.
  • The University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars (ranked number 10 with a 23-3 record) have one baseball game against A&M-Texarkana at 7:00 PM at Riverside Stadium, which is also little league night (little leaguers get in free starting at 6:00 PM).
  • The Lady Jaguars are playing a softball double header against Jarvis Christian at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
  • The Goliad PRCA Rodeo at the Goliad Auditorium starts and continues through Sunday. Brother Gary Moses will be there Friday night.
  • The Goliad County Fair is also ongoing.

Saturday:

  • The Victoria Mall will host a Jigsaw Puzzle Exchange at 9:30 AM.
  • The Victoria Farmers Market will be open from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Patti Dobson Public Health Center.
  • The Integrity Legacy Softball League will have their opening ceremonies at 9:00 AM at Field the Dreams (near McDonald's).
  • The Crossroads Kings and Queens High School All-Star Basketball Games will be at the Victoria College Gym starting at 12:00 PM.
  • The Victoria Public Library Chess Club meets at 12:00 PM.
  • The Coast Riders meet at 1:00 PM.
  • The Goliad PRCA Rodeo continues at 7:30 PM.
  • The Goliad County Fair continues.

Sunday:

  • The Goliad PRCA Rodeo has its final event at 2:00 PM.
  • The carnival at the Goliad County Fair Hall runs all day.
  • A benefit for Freddy Morales will be held at the Rustic Ranch, starting at 11:00 AM with a barbecue meal.
  • The KC Council is having a barbecue pork steak plates fundraiser starting at 9:30 AM until sold out.
  • The Nothing But Net golf big league tournament opening ceremonies will be at 10:30 AM at Connie Creek Club.
  • Selection Sunday for March Madness is this Sunday.

  • The weather is getting warmer and will be in the 90s by the time this episode airs.
  • Brother Gary Moses' voice was a little weak from the stock show the previous week.
